The Book Every Singaporean Should Read
I can’t remember exactly how I came to associate the book ‘The Prince’ by Machiavelli with Minister Mentor. It could have been MM Lee mentioning the book at one of the functions he was invited to when I was in secondary school or one of my teachers referring to the book when discussing MM Lee. I think it is more likely the former.
In any case, this book should be essential reading for every Singaporean. There is an online version here.
