Hmmm..i kind of thought the love triangle added to the movie…agree with you about the balance though…the writers got it.

Agreed! Great movie, serious attempt by the writers to engage with social themes - but not to the exclusion of wham-bang action… superlative stuff.

Pity the love interest angle is such a damp squib.

Having Christian Bale in it will of course appeal to the masses too. That man is gorgeous.
