Update: I realized it was close to almost pointless to say these were my new favourite bloggers and then not explain why. When I read their posts, I am humbled by their intelligence and wit. Their posts are evidence of the kind of intellect that many of us have pretensions to, but will never ever be able to possess. They write the kind of stuff that make you smile, laugh and think. They write with style.
I know one of them likes Manchester United - that’s one of the marks of impeccable taste.
The other I know likes Batman, or at least recognizes Batman as a worthier hero than Superman - that’s another mark of impeccable taste.
Both of them seem to like women - definitely can’t argue with that.
Go read.

“seem to like women”?
“*seem to*”?
The qualifier in your sentence leads one to believe that you seeking to cast doubt upon whether we *should* like women. There’s an implication that Ms. Law, a lesbian, shouldn’t be so, and/or that I am secretly gay, which I have to deny, vehemently, categorically, and with force.
That (very important) statement out of the way – you’re entirely capable of wit; you just choose not to exercise it in favour of attempting a serious treatment of your views. The question follows, are your views worth such a sombre coverage? Are you doing justice to your opinions if they are too dry for readers to consume in their entirety? Wouldn’t a joke or seven lighten things a little and keep your readers engaged?
ARE YOU LKY OR PM LEE?!
The implicit premise that you, yourself, cannot write with such wit is simply not doing yourself justice. Though, of course, I do so appreciating fawning praise.

Yeah, I just called you pro-gay and anti-gay in one paragraph. Semantics is fun.
