Memento Mori: Remember That You Are Mortal

I played this game and nearly cried.  As kottke advised, play it first then read the creator’s statement.

My thoughts (please read it only after playing the game):

I started the game by moving right.  It just seemed natural to move that way to progress in the game.  I got the metaphor about how there are some places you can’t go with your spouse.  Once I got that, I decided not to try to figure out the maze but go exploring in a different direction.  I did enjoy that part of the game a bit more - less frustrating.  Noticed the aging too.  Didn’t play until death the first time.  Read the creator’s statement and further appreciated the depth of the game.
